Specify the Symbol

The stock symbol is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen and displays general information about the stock. See Stocks Overview, Company Overview section for more information. To change the symbol, enter a new company symbol or name in the Symbol Lookup box. A list of symbols that match your search criteria appear below. Click the symbol from the list to have that stock symbol display as the symbol for your Option chain. The new symbol is displayed in the left corner of the screen along with information for that stock.

A list of recently viewed symbols appears at the bottom of the Symbol Lookup box, starting with the most recently viewed. The symbols for recently viewed Canadian stocks have a Canadian flag beside them, and the symbols for U.S. stocks have a U.S. flag beside them.

The option chain for the symbol is displayed below this section, if there are options for that symbol. If there are no options, a message is displayed stating that there are no options for this symbol.
